Brazil Google, Google & MSN UK, Gmail.JP, AdWords Maps, AOL's Blunder, Base API, FaceBook & MSN, Google's Empire
Very international day here in search. I hear that Google will be uploading a Japanese localized version of Gmail. MSN is testing a new design in their UK version. Google's results seem to be bit whacky if you search in the UK.
I also reviewed issues of separating out AdWords on Google Maps. I looked at AOL firing the CTO and others over the their blunder. Also, I learned that MSN does not randomize their search results. Google released an API for Google Base today. I read a few things about Google's dominance. Finally, Microsoft struck a deal with Facebook to serve up ads and possibly search.
Errr, I don't feel too well...
