Flickr Founder Says Sharing Private Photos to Get Easier
The other day I complained that Flickr is Just Too Hard to Sign Up With. Well, since then, Tim Mayer of Yahoo! pointed the co-founder of Flickr, Stewart Butterfield towards this entry. Stewart commented stating that they are aware of the issues and will be working on an "email a friend" feature to make it easier for family and friends to view private photos.
In any case, you shouldn't need to have an account to see private photos if the person who uploaded the photos wants you to see them - we are working on a way to securely share private photos without requiring that your in-laws have to have a Flickr account.
(Finally, we don't have a simple "email to friend" feature right now, but that is coming as well.)
I simply cannot wait! Go Flickr!
