Yea, today, was a sunny day with search news, as Danny would describe a day that is slow with search news. I personally dig for things to talk write about at SER, but Danny is smart and he decided to take it easy on days like this. So what did I cover today?

Some poser created a Matt Cutts MySpace account, I have confirmation from Matt, that he knows how to spell surprise. :) Some AdSense addicts use their earnings metrics to determine if it is a holiday or not, yea - it is true. Also, with AdSense, the video ads, prompted users to download 3rd party software, such as QuickTime - this was apparently a Google bug that has been fixed. Since we are still talking about Google, we learned that we are tied 50/50 with those still happy with AdWords. Finally, with Google, they released Google Trends for Music last night - it is pretty cool.

Yahoo! released an API for Answers, so I provided some reasons why SEOs should jump on it. Oh, and if you like childish and petty fighting between big and professional names, then check out the former China Head suing Yahoo!. Ask.com released an upgrade to their movie smart answer, useful stuff. Guess what, MSN wants to do something about the sub domain link spam that is hurting their relevancy - go figure! And on a final note, all the search engines are afraid of China, China is a scary country.
