Yahoo Woes, Bugs @ Google & Yahoo, Apple & Google, NetPAC, INFO, Wiki Ads, Brickhouse, Ask Soars, & More
The Search Pulse is on today at 5PM (EST), tune in at WebmasterRadio.FM.
Yahoo was in the news a lot today. Yesterday they said they will be spending big bucks to promote themselves. Then today, they also said they will be developing an incubator to better hold on to existing employees. Then even later today, Yahoo's CEO said ad growth is slowing, causing their stock to fall over 10%.
Google and Apple have been stirring up some rumors about an ad and content deal. Google also formed a Political Action Committee named NetPAC. Google also had some troubles, where Ben discovered OneBox spam and they finally fixed a reporting error in AdWords. Also on the Google front, I looked at URL queries and also at rotating AdSense ads. Oh, is it possible that Wikipedia is adverting on Google? Finally, I looked at Live.com as a threat to Google and a bug with adCenter conversion tracking that may have cost some sales.
