Google Garage, PageRank, Base, Meta Tag, CPK Rises, Panama, AdWords Boot, Live.com, Digging Digg, & More
I accidently covered some of the topics set aside for Danny to write about, which led me to writing 8 different posts at SEW this morning. I did them all within an hour, but still - a lot of writing, considering I wrote 6 items at SER the hour before.
Today, I covered topics from Google renting their old garage, to Matt Cutts talking about PageRank, to Google releasing a nifty tool to export data from eBay, Amazon and Yahoo! to Google Base. Talking about Yahoo!, they are generating some more buzz on the Panama release. While I am on the topic of search ads, did you know that the cost per keyword remained relatively flat in Q2? Oh and if you want to get booted from AdWords, good luck! Ask.com launched their 2.0 search ad platform today, as expected. And are women less likely to click on contextual ads? On the geek side of things, 301s may be misinterpreted by Live.com. Spamming Digg is easy but should you do it? Meta tag abuse can end you up in jail. Speaking of legal, I linked to a good News.com story on Google's copyright woes. Finally, I took a look at mobile phone search topics. That is all I got for today. There should be a lot of news tomorrow also.
Oh, don't forget, tonight at 5pm (EST), Search Pulse is live at WebmasterRadio.FM. Matt Cutts is coming on the air to speak briefly about two topics. Catch you there!
