So I heard a lot of buzz about Second Life recently, so I decided to give it a try... It is this crazy virtual world. Like a MySpace on drugs.
You create your person and go from land to land exploring. You meet new people, talk to them live, you can play games, earn money, build things like ships, cars, planes weapons and so on.
It is crazy!
As I walked around I found ads for companies and stuff. I was looking specifically for the marketing aspect of this social network.
Second Life is a 3-D virtual world entirely built and owned by its residents. Since opening to the public in 2003, it has grown explosively and today is inhabited by a total of 1,565,715 people from around the globe.
I am still learning but we can learn together. Join and make sure I refer you, my name in this virtual world is "RustyBrick Market" you don't get to pick any random last name... So when you join, use this link and look me up.

Warning, this can be a huge time waster...

There was a big item on the BBC news last night about this. There's over 1 million residents so far. Many "old time" Second Lifers are worried about the commercial way that it's progressing.
