My Digg Made it To Home Page - Late Night Digg.com Traffic
Yesterday, I decided to submit one of my stories to Digg. The story is named Google Maps Hijack Caused By Google Algorithm: Google Adds Report Map Feature. I then asked all my buddies to digg it, and I got about 22 or so diggs within the first few hours. I then gave up.
OgleTree sent me a screen capture of the Digg home page last night, showing me at midnight (EST), my article was the first item on the Digg home page.
It received 72 Diggs at that point. Over night it earned well over 250 diggs and remained on the home page until about 9am (EST). It is now on the second page.
So how much traffic did I get from the late night Digg home page appearance? Not even as close to as much as one would get from a mid-day Digg home page listing.
I received about 3,500 unique visitors from it, at this point in time. Still not a bad amount of visitors.
If you didn't digg it, you can by clicking on the Digg icon below...
Based on this, I am trying to get Google Checkout Button on Google.com Take Over Page Real Estate on the home page but I doubt it will make it. It currently has:
So digg that also and Ill share the data with you.
Oh, historically, I think this is the second or third story that I have submitted to digg that made it to the home page. I did have plenty of other stories make it to Digg's home page, that I did not submit myself.
Thanks to all you who have helped out!
