Judah from Diamond Vues showed me a post at BornRich.org describing the Tryane II. The Tryane II is a car made of wood, completely by hand.
The car took 2000 hours of work, it is 900 lbs, 13' 7" long, 5' 4" wide and 4' 4" tall. It can drive up to a 100 miles per hour and gets between 55-70 miles per gallon. It is made of gaboon marine ply and mahogany veneers bonded with epoxy resin.
How crazy is that? Imagine seeing someone drive by you in that. Imagine this car crashing into yours. Ouch!

This will most likley end a museum piece which is sad as cars are meant to drive, not just sit around to be gazed upon.
