This afternoon, one of my articles made it to the Digg home page for about 10 minutes. It was then buried. I am not sure, but this is the first Digg Burial I have noticed, on the Search Engine Roundtable.

The digg is at http://digg.com/tech_news/Is_Google_the_Next_Small_Business_Killer

You can see it has a nice number of Diggs, it got enough to be made popular. But once it hit the home page, it was then buried.

How do I know?

A search for seroundtable.com articles returns no results at the time I write this. So you check off the "Include Buried Stories" and then you see up comes that article.

Digg Burial

Why did I get buried? Honestly, no idea. It can be a ton of reasons, so I won't guess.

Danny Sullivan has an excellent article named Monitoring Buries At Digg at Search Engine Land.

It is one thing to read the article by Danny, it is another thing to experience it.
