I was listening to the radio this morning and Jim Kerr said that there was a report out that car accidents are more likely on Friday the 13ths. He said 13% more likely.
Pretty interesting....
So I tracked down a recent article on this to get more info...
Norwich Union researched claims over a five-year period, during which time there were six Friday the 13ths, and discovered that the number of claims on these days was significantly higher (13%) when compared to other days of the month. Conversely, all other 13ths had less than the average number of claims."Our analysis on dangerous days for driving has given some credence to people's superstitions regarding Friday the 13th," says Norwich Union's Nigel Bartram said. "Though it's difficult to say for certain why this is, one reason could be that people alter their driving behaviour in response to a perceived 'unlucky' day.
Probably because some people are more nervous on these days. Nervous drivers are dangerous drivers. So if more than 13% of those drivers are superstitious, then that kinda makes sense.

I did almost produce a car accident today, but I could brake at the last moment. So only our license plates did a little "Greeting". But I found out later that it´s Friday the 13ths, so there is no connection ...
