My sister, brother-in-law and their four boys are at my parents this week for Passover. I was there this Friday night through Saturday night.
So I played Monopoly with my two oldest nephews. I think they are 12 and 9.
I totally destroyed them.
I bought several properties. Then I made an offer to my 9 year-old nephew to purchase St. James Place and Ventnor Avenue for two of the railroads and $100. He agreed and I was then able to purchase hotels on the orange properties, which I did right away. It paid off, I earned enough money back right away to purchase several homes on the yellow properties, and then finally enough to purchase hotels on that properties. It was then just time until the 9 year old was bankrupt. Then it was on to the 12 year old. He landed on Marvin Gardens with not enough money to pay the full amount. So he sold me States Avenue for $200. I purchased hotels on the purple properties and then waited.
I am ruthless...
