IMG_2793.JPGI have the Treo 700p and I wrote about it dozens of times. But I always wondered why the default "hang up" button is the same button you use to turn off the display?

So if you are using email, text messages, web, calendar, etc, to turn off the display you either wait 30 seconds for it to shut off by itself, or you hit the red hang up button.

But time after time, I am getting a call at the same time I am hitting the off button.

I am checking an email on my Treo, I finish, I hit the hang up button to darken and lock the Treo. But at the same time, someone is calling in and I hit hang up. Then I hang up on their call, unintentionally.

I am sure there is a way to change the default, but isn't that just dumb from a user interface and usability standpoint?

Oh, the picture above is a pic of where I keep my Treo while I drive.
