Today is a Jewish fast day, Tzom Tammuz, so I am fasting. I also had to schedule a blood test for around now, so I decided, heck do it on a fast day - since it is a fasting blood test.
I didn't realize I would have to give like ten things of blood. So I am a bit light headed. Deal is, I can't eat or drink until about 9:30 tonight. I have not ate or drank anything since 9ish last night.
Notice the picture above? Yea, two band aids. The first attempt on my left arm did not work. She missed the vein, and tried to jab that needle in the same vein about six times until we tried the next arm. The right arm worked and we were set to go.
Hungry.

Yikes, Barry, that's a harrowing tale.
Did you have to drive today in that kind of shape? I really hope not.
Fasting + a blood test can result in dizziness, confusion, inability to speak properly...all kinds of things.
Hope you will be feeling better tomorrow.
Kind Regards,
Miriam

Hi Barry,
I don't know you, I just did a google search on "fast blood test" to see how long I am supposed to fast for a full bloodwork to followup on my annual checkup.
I find myself in the same position with Tisha B'av tomorrow and I thought I would kill two birds with one stone, but your story has given me a second thought on the matter.
Thanks, and maybe you will find consolation in your experience in that you have saved someone from making the same mistake.
