9/11Before the day ends, I think it is appropriate I say a word or two on 9/11.

Where was I during 9/11?

When 9/11 happened, I was not in NYC, I was home. It was a Tuesday, I was off from school that day. I think I only had classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. That Tuesday, I was off, so I stayed home. I went to Baruch college which was on 23rd and Lexington, not extremely far from ground zero.

I remember hearing about it on the Internet. I then ran to check the TV and saw the second plane fly into the second building. It didn't look real, it was TV. But it was real. I was IMing with my brother-in-law who was on 20th street and the only means of communication was IM. Phones, both landlines and cell, all eventually went dead. But the Internet was still on.

I then noticed that most the channels went out, I was using an antenna for the TV and most antennas in my area were powered by the Twin Towers. Some were powered via the Empire State building, so some channels worked.

That is my word on 9/11, a sad day, sad sad day.
