I moved into this nice, new house and part of that is new stuff and learning how it works.
I already read the garage door manuals and this weekend I read the security alarm system manuals, but I still have a huge list of manuals to read to master my house.
The manuals include:
- Fridge
- Oven
- Microwave
- Dishwashers
- Verizon FiOS
- Optimum
- Boiler
- Much more...
I am a manual guy, I like to read them over the weekends, if possible. What can be so complicated about an oven? Well, it does fancy things. Heck, there is even a Shabbath mode on the oven we bought, so understanding how it works and being prepare comes in handy when needed.
I learned a ton from the alarm manual, FiOS, not so much. I learned how to program my card with my garage door opens with that manual. Most people don't read manuals. I often don't but some manuals, I really enjoy reading - nothing like finding powerful features that can be utilized in your daily activities.

Shabbath mode?? It stays warm long enough so you can use it on Shabbath?

Basically, new GE ovens turn off after X hours. On holidays, we need to keep the ovens on for up to three days, so there is a feature to turn off the automated shut off function.
