I was scanning my RSS feeds and saw a headline that read Man in India Marries Dog As Atonement.
At first, I just clicked away. Then I thought for a second and said, what did that say?
So I searched my Google Reader feed for "Man in India" (outstanding feature in Google Reader, btw) and yea, it said Man in India Marries Dog As Atonement.
Man in India Marries Dog As Atonement!!!!
A man in southern India married a female dog in a traditional Hindu ceremony as an attempt to atone for stoning two other dogs to death — an act he believes cursed him — a newspaper reported Tuesday.P. Selvakumar married the sari-draped former stray named Selvi, chosen by family members and then bathed and clothed for the ceremony Sunday at a Hindu temple in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, the Hindustan Times newspaper said.
A religious ceremony? If so, then cool with me. Just seems a tad off. But so do some things in my religion. :)

Dude- wearing sneakers with your best suit once a year doesn't nearly come anywhere close to making a man's best friend into a life-long partner.
Unless maybe you still wear those retro 70's canvas white Converse jobs with the thin red horizontal stripe - those things are seriously wrong.

What do you call living in a Sukka, holding a branch and lemon? How about praying to the moon once a month? We can get a bit more biblical, like spitting in shoes, but hey. :)
