Near our fridge in the office, is a line of soda boxes that constantly gets replenished, for our staff. Here is a picture:
Yes, the coders love that caffeine and we love to provide it. Sorry, no red bull - I am not sure if it is kosher. :) We got, from left to right, seltzer, arizona ice tea, mountain dew, pepsi, more mountain dew, pepsi zero, diet pepsi, diet pepsi without caffeine. Yes, I guess pepsi was on sale when we picked these boxes up.
I actually got the three boxes on the left myself, when I went to Costsco this past week.
I have an older post related to this, that has more food items, named Stocking The RustyBrick Junk Food Room.

Hmmm Mt Dew - that is the best (and not just for its sugar and caffeine)

Followed this from Twitter and looks like a scene out of any tech department's kitchen. We had a name for our programmers, "soda chugging code monkeys" (no offense imnotadoctor, you are still my main man!). Fuel for the Web. Who would have guessed that the beverage market was directly effected by the tech boom!

Sometimes, I think it's too bad that Mountain Dew doesn't have caffeine in Canada. We have some strange laws about caffeine, saying that it cannot be added to drinks. It's only allowed if it occurs naturally as a result of the flavouring ingredients (i.e.: cocoa beans used for Cola and Coffee, or caffeine from tea leaves). Otherwise, it has to be considered an "energy supplement" and come with a health warning (all of our energy drinks like Red Bull have a label about how many "doses" you should drink in a day).
Actually, though, we do have something called "Mountain Dew Energy" which is, I think, just regular Mountain Dew, but they've called it an energy drink and put the necessary labeling on the pacakging in order to comply with our caffeine laws.
It's funny the way we treat drugs in Canada. We're totally laid back with regard to pot, but surprisingly uptight about caffeine. Well...at least according to the law books. In practice, I think the average Canadian is pretty accepting of both things. :p

You might have a little under the Mountain Dew...can't tell.
I've never done speed but I think Diet Pepsi Max is the legal alternative.
