Patio SetYesterday, I told you about my Home Depot Saga, in buying a Patio Set. The picture here is a picture of what it will look like when I am 100% done, minus the umbrella.

So last night, I set my goal of putting together the 6 chairs. Each chair had (pauses to count from memory), at least 12 screws, and 12 rubber caps, with additional hardware pieces to make them secure (like 2 bolts per screw, washers, and some metal plates to help it rock back and forth).

Once I did the first chair, the other chairs took about 20 minutes each. I completed four chairs last night and I hope to have time to complete the remaining two chairs tonight. I figure I need an hour in total, 40 minutes to build the chairs and then 20 minutes to clean up everything.

Why do my fingers hurt? The screws are small and after using my fingers to secure 48 screws, and then tightening them with this tiny wrench - was not easy on the fingers. Plus, those rubber caps are not always easy to get on.

Honestly, my fingers did not hurt during the process of putting the chairs together. They hurt now when I type this morning. I guess like being sore from a work out that you are not use to - but with fingers. :-)
