UPS just arrived with several deliveries, but one delivery stood out as being weird. I received a package from Bed, Bath & Beyond. The package was originally mailed to my old home, but somehow reached my office's address (UPS is smart like that). I opened the box to find that it was a present, here is a picture:
Yippie! But I decided to look closer. I noticed the gift card and read it. It reads:
I scratched my head... Who is this Amy? I decided to look at the packing slip. I noticed on the packing slip that this was ordered just about a week ago. Who would mail me a gift over two years after my wedding? I looked at the name and called my wife. We both had no idea who it was.
I assumed at that point that something is wrong. I received a gift from someone's registry. Did someone accidently purchase something from my registry, which is still live at Bed, Bath & Beyond!
This brought me back to an older post I did at the Search Engine Roundtable named Wedding Registries Being Indexed Causing Fraudulent Registry Orders. It seemed like people were buying items off my wedding registry and shipping it to other places. Yes, I believe we didn't get everything that was 'purchased' off our register. Is the same thing happening to a different new couple? Did I get their gift? Doesn't seem 100% logical.
I am not sure what is going on. But I will make sure to return the Oxo Good Grips 11" Whisk to Bed, Bath & Beyond and have them deal with this mess.

Get it whisked away as quick as you can Barry! Someone will be getting `stirred` up about their missing gift!

My questions is why did they need to use such a big box for such a little present???
