Offering my nearly new baby for sale, as it has gotten too loud. It is a male baby, nearly 28 inches long and can be used either in a baby carrier or a stroller.
That is how the ad read on eBay, after the 23-year-old mother and 24-year-old-father placed that listing. The parents live near, Unterallgäu, southwestern part of Bavaria, Germany. They posted the ad as a joke, and that joke got their new baby boy taken away from them.
Case dropped against parents who put baby on eBay from the AP reports $1.59 EURO sale price got them into big trouble over "possible child trafficking." But after the prosecutor dug deeper, he learned that this was really just a joke that went bad.
How long did this couple have their kid taken from them? "Several days" reports the AP who spoke with the parent's deputy chief of youth services.
How crazy!

Hmmm...that's pretty insane. Teaches the parents a good lesson huh? Joke or not!

That is pretty crazy. Although it is nice to see that the authorities are on top of things a bit. This day in age it doesn't seem that far fetched that someone would try to sell their child on ebay. Just the other day I saw an article about a middle aged woman who was selling her house, including herself on ebay. Trying to combine selling her house and finding love all in one swoop. Leave it to the internet...
