FiOS TV Remote DVR Now Available!
Last night, I turn on my TV and I see a message from Verizon. It said that I can now enjoy programming my DVR from my computer or a wireless device. I immediately stopped everything and read on. I followed the instructions and configured my Verizon account to control my DVRs.
In short, you control this at Verizon FiOS TV Central. After you register your account and activate the remote DVR option, you have access to the DVR (beta) features.
You can view shows that are scheduled to be recorded:
You can see the shows that are recorded and even remove them:
You can see how much space you have on your DVRs:
You can browse or search TV listings and record them, by clicking on the show and clicking "Record."
It then puts the show, in this case, "The Office," in my scheduled recordings:
If I had a Verizon Wireless phone, specifically from LG, I would be able to do this on my phone:

I am a happy campier with Verizon. Even though their customer service has been horrible, the features are rocking!
Note, this service only comes the Home Media DVR package, which just became available a week or two ago for me at my home. Yea, it wasn't available originally, and the December rumors turned out to be true or in this case, early.
Check out Verizon's Remote DVR features for more details. This is too cool. I know TiVOs have this feature, but this is part of the bundle for me.
