piracySmall chat these days is basically the following conversation. So, how is everything? Are you doing okay in these economic times? Business good? How you dealing with it?

It is like the same convo I have with different people that I haven't seen in a while. I guess it is like talking about the weather. But who cares how cold or wet it is outside when we are in a really bad recession.

Heck, I even hear kids (elementary school age) talking about the recession.

I guess it is good to talk about it, helps people not worry as much...

A little over a month ago, I asked, Are you worried about the economy? The 44 results included 36.36% are worried a little, 27.27% are very worried, 22.73% are just worried and 13.64% are not worried at all. I wish I was part of the 13%. :)

I am a worrier, that is just me. Well - I don't worry about everything, just what I consider valid things to worry about and with this recession and running a company, with employees, families and other companies depending on the company, I feel pressure to keep on ticking. Now, my company is doing well - we are doing just fine. But I still worry based on hearing all the economic data every day on the radio or via Internet. I worry when I hear that hundreds and hundreds of well known retailers will be closing their doors. I worry when I hear financial institutions are failing. I worry when I hear about job reports.

I can just hope it passes soon, not that I expect it to. I just hope that my family, friends and people I know are not impacted by the recession too much.

Personally, I think it won't be until some time in 2010.
