You sometimes hear of underground networks of terrorists or other groups, using newspapers or web publications secretly to pass encoded messages to one an other. I don't know much about how this works or if it is real.
I often joke about one blog post on the Search Engine Roundtable named Lost? Google Mobile Phone Locator Will Find You. I posted it in November 2007 and since then, it gets a constant stream of comments, with phone numbers. It now has well over 400 comments and those comments did not come in a single day, they come almost every day, a few at a time.
I often wonder if a group of people are using the comments area in that blog post to exchange ideas and plans. Just scan through some of the comments. Most take the form of, "I lost my phone, here is the number." But why would someone bother with that? Maybe people are stupid?
Maybe I am stupid for writing this. Do I believe people are using my blog for terrorist planning? I really don't. But sometimes, I wonder - "what if."

Just looking at the title of that post "Lost? Google Mobile Phone Locator Will Find You" those people probably think "Lost Mobile Phone? We will find it for you" or whatever.
People not reading the post correctly/not grasping the language.
Probably all coming from google search results for lost mobile phone locator.

I'd think it's more likely a scam to get people to call some kind of phone number that charges the caller or something. Just guessing tho.
