The battery that comes with the Sony HDR-XR200V is the NP-FH60, which lasts 100 minutes or so. In the material sent by Sony with the video camera was "recommended accessories." There was a ACC-FH70 Accessory Value Kit that came with a case and a NP-FH70 battery.
The battery lasts 165 minutes, so between the two, I should have about 265 minutes of battery life, which should be plenty. I know I needed some sort of case and I read the reviews on Amazon about this case, and people liked it. One concern was the size. The camera is really small and the case is at least twice its size. Anyway, I got it today and I wanted to show you how big the case is, relative to the camera. Maybe this will help others in their purchase decision.
Here is a picture of the case, next to the camera:

I am not concerned with the camera moving from left to right, since it is padded in nicely. But there is a lot of room in the up and down position, which lets the camera bobble up and down, hitting the top and bottom of the bag. I guess I can by a piece of foam to stick in there, if I am that worried.
What else do I have in this bag?
- Sony HDR-XR200V Video Camera
- A/C plug
- Two batteries
- Remote control
- Mini tripod
- USB cable
I might add more accessories, like a clip on microphone and/or a light sometime in the future. But there will still be a lot of room.

why not return the bag and get a smaller one that fits it all just smaller

Cause it was a "value pack" and the battery is basically the same price with or without the bag. Plus I had credit at Amazon.

That's a nice bag. I just got a new video camera from canon-videocamera.com and it takes very nice videos. I think this is the best video camera ive ever had. I just took it to my sons hockey game and took some videos and it was crystal clear. Usually you can't see the puck because the camera isn't very clear but with this camera everything was sharp.
