Remember my Verizon Phone Saga? Probably not. In short, they conned me into switching to them for my landline service in my office and then after three calls, they promised to keep me at the same rate I was paying my other provider.
After they made that promise, I received a bill for almost 4 times what my other provider's bill was. I paid it, figuring there were mid-month charges and switch over fees. But last week, I received a bill that was just under 3 times what my bill should have been.
So I called the Verizon representative who told me she would fix things. No answer. I left her two messages and called four times.
How long do I give her to call me back? Two weeks?
I am pretty upset about all of this and I will be switching back if it is not rectified.

welcome to the world of Verizon. They seem to be infamous for "billing errors". They bank on most people not questioning them and just paying the bill. It took me 4 months, 5 phone calls and finally a threat to start a 'class action suit' to get a supervisor to fix the problem. We will see if his word is good when I get my next bill!

This seems typical. it is business practices like this that are destroying our economy. Have you tired tracking down the Twitter Verizon rep? It works with Comcast one.

Verizon and I had a similar situation. But they did credit me over $500 for the text message overage that I shouldn't have been charged. When I did the upgrade they had to "tweak" my plan a bit which removed some "unlimited" services while adding others. We use text to automate all sorts of things - and server monitoring, etc. so we abuse it. I've been with them for 12 years now - so maybe they figured they'd get it back later - or already had. ;)
Good on your for getting your hard-earned dough back. Those bastards! ;)

Verizon is up to something here. Everytime I am eligible for my free phone upgrade I do it...and every time over the next few months following my bill's are suddenly enormous/ They offer a free trial of gps(vz navigator) in which even when I cancelled after the free month and they tell me "ok it's off, now you wont be charged"...voila, I am again being charged. I will yalk yo one rep on the 15th who clearly states my account and what will be due next month, then 5 days later I get an email or call saying my account is past due etc. So I call again, talk to yet another rep who has no record of what the previous rep told me 5 days earlier even though I write everything down including names (they are like fleeting ghosts)and now they come up with a new number, higher and act like they are giving me this great customer service ( they are indeed usually polite...but wtf)they obviously have something wrong with their system/files etc....or they do this on purpose skimming and screwing with peoples bills trying to see what they can get away with. I guarantee they are scamming...now who's going to call them on it? How do you start a class action lawsuit? Im sick of these big companies taking advantage of people..it's time to fight back and pull the plug on these smucks. I keep all my bills documented/recorded, tracked...of course, it's my bloody money so Im not just going to pay bills mindlessly...but what about the edlerly, or other people who may not be as watchful/prepared...verizon is stealing from people...and notice they never send an confirmation email stating what payment they just agreed to verbally over the phone to...this is so they can change it 5 days later and act as if they have no record of any previous agreement...making it all he said she said...mfa!

Verizon used to have the best customer service. it has gotten so bad i have found myself, on the phone as long as 4 hour one time about three times a week totlly unbearable i explain to them they are paid to talk to me however i was not getting paid to be on the phone with them for hours, i have been over billed a number of time i made mistake once and fax a document out of country that cost me 0ver 200.00 something took less then a minute, cell bill is ridiculous, residential out of control , I think that the Bundles are a joke. i finally left after 38 years.it was to a point talking to Verizon I felt i needed to go Drs.
