My home is on lock down all the time. We have a pretty good home security system and we use it all the time. When we are home and awake, it is set. When we go to sleep, it goes into lock down mode.
Basically, if you are awake in my house when I put the alarm in lock down, it goes off. So don't wander around or make too much noise.
In any event, on very rare occasions, I forget to disable the alarm after I wake up. I forgot this morning.
Oh boy does that really wake you up. I turn the corner and bam! Alarm sound goes blasting. You know that feeling when you are so tired and confused, you don't know which way to turn? Well, you feel some of that during that siren wailing. Then you get your composure, and head towards the nearest alarm keypad. You punch in the code and breath a sigh of relief.
That was my early morning, after finding out Gmail went offline for a bit.
